John Eisner co-founded the Lark Play Development Center in 1994 as a community of theater professionals dedicated to the playwrights vision. He has grown the Lark into an award-winning think tank for the theater, with local, national and global reach, providing a creative community to thousands of participating playwrights, actors and directors, and a throng of community leaders, donors, volunteers and students. Grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, earned a BA in Dramatic Arts from Amherst College and an MFA in Acting from the National Theatre Conservatory in 1987. He currently sits on the Lucille Lortel Awards Committee, the Advisory Boards of TheatreForum and Transport Group, and the National Theatre Conference. He lives in New York City with his wife, actress Jennifer Dorr White, and two children, Hannah and Jake.
